If I'm visiting in October of 2025 and will NOT be purchasing a Not-So-Scary event ticket: what will NOT be available for my trip? Will the parade be normal (no halloween/fall looks), will firework show be normal, merchandise be regular etc.

    Hi Mariah! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm excited to hear about your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Before you know it, you'll be arriving for a magical visit filled with unforgettable experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. Let's dive into your question and help you get set for your stay.

Mariah, while you will see some festive fall decorations around the parks and resorts, the regular entertainment will not be modified in any way to accommodate the change in seasons. There will be modifications to the schedule on nights that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party occurs, which may impact what days you plan to visit each park. Looking at your arrival date, it seems that there will be a Halloween Party on October 30th and 31st. On these days, the Magic Kingdom will close to regular park Guests at 6 PM to allow for the party to get underway. The new nighttime parade and regular fireworks show will not be seen on these days. However, any entertainment throughout the day, including the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, should go on as normal. Depending on how many days you will be visiting, I suggest waiting to visit the Magic Kingdom until later in your trip when the party is no longer happening. This way, you can enjoy all of the nighttime festivities that happen at this park.

One thing to keep in mind is that once the Halloween Party has come to a close, Disney will begin preparing the parks for the next holiday season. If you are still there during the first week of November, you may see some Christmas decorations beginning to pop up.

As for merchandise, you may see some festive apparel at shops across the parks and resorts, but the selection will not be limited to just these items. You'll usually find a dedicated section in each shop for these seasonal items. You may also find snacks and treats that are being sold for a limited time, but all the staples that you are expecting will still be available.

I hope this information helps you plan for your stay, Mariah! Stop back and see us anytime at planDisney!

    See ya real soon!
