Hi there, Guillermo! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
As the mom of a child who has special needs, I really appreciate the way that
Disneyland Resort goes above and beyond to make the magic
accessible to everyone. When I visit the Disneyland theme parks with my son who is on the autism spectrum, we use
Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is an accommodation intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a typical queue environment.
Since each Guest's needs are unique, I would encourage you to speak with a Cast Member to see if DAS would be a good fit for the kiddos in your group who have special needs. You can do this in person at
Guest Relations when you arrive at one of the Disneyland Resort theme parks or via a
live video chat with a Cast Member. If you would like to pre-register for DAS using the live video chat, this must be done within 2-30 days of your theme park visit, and each Guest who is in need of DAS must be present during the video chat.
You are correct that up to six Guests (the person with a disability and five additional people) may be included on one DAS pass. If it is determined that the kids in your travel party qualify for DAS, you could split your group up between the two DAS passes. It is important to note that in order to access an
attraction using DAS, the Guest who is registered for DAS must be experiencing the attraction with the other people in the group. If everyone in your travel party, including both children, plans to stay together for attractions, this shouldn't pose a problem.
Guillermo, I hope your visit to Disneyland Resort is nothing short of magical! If we can help you with any
additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask. See ya real soon!
Samantha
