    I'm visiting 9/3-9/10 for my friend's wedding at the Grand Floridian. My bf & I and the bride & groom will all be staying at the Contemporary. Any suggestions for rooms to request? We're also doing Pirates & Pals on Labor Day, are there special

    Congratulations to your friend!  I can't think of a more magical place to get married than the Grand Floridian. It will be a beautiful wedding!

    The Contemporary Resort is one of my favorites at Disney World. My favorite rooms are in the Tower. There are two views available, a Magic Kingdom view or a Bay Lake view. I love waking up & seeing the Magic Kingdom but Bay Lake offers a beautiful view too and you have an awesome view of the Electrical Water Pageant.

    If no rooms are available in the Tower, the Garden Wing offers 3 views: a water view, a garden view or a parking lot view.  We didn't spend a lot of time in our room so we requested a room close to the exit near the Tower. That way we had a short walk to the pool and Tower. If we were going to spend more time in our room, I would have requested a water view.  The rooms in the Garden Wing don't have balconies although I noticed the rooms on the ground floor had a couple of chairs outside their doors. There weren't any real barriers so it didn't seem like they would offer much privacy.

    You are going to have a great time on the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage! Its one of our family's favorite special experiences Disney offers. During the voyage, Patch the Pirate will ask if anyone on board is celebrating anything special so be sure to tell them about your friend's wedding.
