Hi Hilary!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am thrilled to know you'll be visiting the Disneyland Resort during Veteran's Day weekend, especially after learning about the special U.S. Veterans in your life!
My utmost respect and appreciation to your dad and great uncle for serving our great country!
I'll start by sharing that the Disneyland Resort celebrates U.S. Military Personnel year-round.
They have a
Heroes Work Here initiative, where they make a big effort to hire people who have served our country honorably, no matter what point in their life it may be. Expect to see friendly U.S. Veterans greeting you and wearing a Cast member badge.
There are also
discounts and special rates to the Disneyland Resort for qualifying U.S. Military members.
Now, while I'm sure there will be marching bands playing patriotic tunes and the Dapper Dans offering their unique rendition of some classic folk songs, rest assured the Disneyland Resort never forgets about our national heroes.
For one, there's a wonderful Audio-Animatronics attraction titled "
Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" where President Lincoln offers recitations that changed history and helped shape our nation.
You may also find a few treats made to commemorate the special day but remember, Veteran's Day will fall on November 11 this year, which is right when the Disneyland Resort begins its Holiday Celebrations with special decorations, parades, themes and attractions.
Have a Magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
