I’m visiting Disneyland at the start of May. I want to build a lightsaber. The calendar isn’t updating to include May. The days are shaded and it’s definitely 60 days out at this point. Is something going on? I don’t think this is due to it being booked up

    Greetings, Elizabeth!

I'm happy the Force led you to planDisney! Your timely arrival scheduled for the Disneyland Resort tells me you must be a strong and strategic Padawan. I would be happy to guide you toward the next step in your training.

Deep in Batuu, you'll find Savi's Workshop—the only place to scavenge the right parts to construct a lightsaber meant just for you! You are wise indeed to make a reservation, which is usually available to book 60 days in advance. It sounds like there was a disturbance in the Force (or perhaps some mischievous Jawas at work) when you tried to book, but I'm happy to report that when I checked this morning there are plenty of reservations available on your arrival date! Better "punch it" and snag one of those reservations at lightspeed!

Will you be celebrating May the 4th while you're on Batuu? We don't have details yet, but that day has included some special activities in the past! You might want to check out the Foodie Guide from last year to see some of the treats that might make a triumphant return...personally, I'm rooting for the Chocolate Chip Sweet-Sand Cookie. It was epic!

Exploring Batuu is one of our favorite things to do when we visit Disneyland Resort. I live with a couple of rebellious younglings who love to use their MagicBand+ to play Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters! We often make new friends while we play, and last time we were lucky enough to meet The Mandalorian and his tiny companion, Grogu!

I do have a little bit of intelligence from our spy network about your visit: on May the 4th, Disneyland Park is hosting an after-hours Star Wars event. The park will close to regular guests earlier than usual that evening. But that doesn't mean your fun has to stop! I recommend purchasing Park Hopper tickets so that you can go over to Disney California Adventure Park after Disneyland Park has closed for the event.

With your lightsaber in hand, I know you will be ready for an epic adventure, Elizabeth! Please send me a transmission if you'd like to talk more about bounty hunting and other activities on Batuu. May the Force be with you!

    Keep moving forward!
