Hi! I'm visiting the Disneyland resort in October and I am looking for the best breakfast options for adults at the DL resort hotels and Downtown Disney. Any suggestions? Do I need a reservation for other options than Storytellers Cafe?

Hi Ashley! Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks so much for sending us another great question. I'm happy to help!

Having breakfast at the Disneyland Resort is the perfect way to start the day! There are many dining options for breakfast. It depends on whether you prefer a sit-down meal at a table service restaurant, or a faster meal at a quick service location. Because you are arriving on a Saturday, there are some locations that serve brunch. Let's talk about how you can narrow your search, and I'm also happy to provide my favorites as recommendations!

On the Disneyland website, you can view All Dining and then filter by the Disneyland Resort locations you want to consider, such as the Downtown Disney District and the Disneyland Resort Hotels. While you can also filter by selecting breakfast, locations that offer brunch won't be included in the narrowed list. You can also Check Dining Availability for the dates you are interested in reserving if you prefer a table service dining experience. This will allow you to make an Advanced Dining Reservation, which helps secure a table at the dining location you have your heart, and tummy, set on!

If I want to make an Advanced Dining Reservation for breakfast or brunch, I really love Naples Ristorante e Bar in the Downtown Disney District for unique selections I wouldn't normally make at home. I also love the menu and ambiance at GCH Craftsman Bar at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. If I think I will be especially hungry, a buffet with a Character Dining Experience such as Goofy's Kitchen or Storytellers Cafe are both great choices.

If you will be more pressed for time, GCH Craftsman Grill offers some of the same menu items as the GCH Craftsman Bar, just a bit quicker and more casually served. Another dining location I enjoy, which doesn't require an Advanced Dining Reservation, is Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at the iconic Disneyland Hotel. The Tangaroa Toast is absolutely delicious!

Whether you choose a table service or quick service dining location, breakfast or brunch will be a great way to start the day at The Happiest Place on Earth! I hope you find a menu or two that you're excited to try! Please stop by planDisney again if you have more planning questions before you arrive. We can't wait for you to be our guest, and we would love to help!

    Bon Appétit!
    Smiles,
