Hi, I'm visiting Disneyland in June and I am staying across the street from the Toy Story Parking Lot on Katella Ave and I was wondering is it possible to walk into the Toy Story Parking lot & catch the shuttle to the parks from there?

    Hi Joanna!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! We're so happy you're hEAR, and thank you for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question our way!

This is a great question. I'm a very big fan of shuttle buses, especially at the end of a long Disney day. Officially, there isn't anything or anyone that would stop or prevent you from getting into the Toy Story Parking Lot on foot. However, Katella is a pretty busy street and you might end up walking almost or just as far from the hotel to the light to the parking lot as you would if you walked due north from your hotel to the eastern side of the gate. Another thought to keep in mind is if you're traveling with a stroller it will need to be folded to be on the bus vs. being able to corral your Mouseketeer (and all of their gEAR) if you walked.

Check out this 'Driving to Disneyland Resort' info link. If you scroll about a third of the way down, look under the 'Getting Around the Anaheim Resort Area' section and you'll find a link to ART, which is the Anaheim Resort Transit. These buses do charge a few dollars per Guest per ride, however, they might pick up and drop off closer to your Good Neighbor Hotel, and will do so on the same side of the street.

I hope that this answer helped to better plan your upcoming Disney days, Joanna! Be sure to check out the official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks! And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!!
