I’m visiting Disneyland the first week of June 2019. I will have 2 adults and 1 petite 10 year old girl. Will I be allowed to use the Moving Buddy Pass at Toy Story? If yes, how do I get one?

    Hiya, Naomi!

I’m so excited to hEAR you ask about the Moving Buddy Pass offered at Toy Story Midway Mania! at Disney California Adventure Park. Toy Story Midway Mania! is my family’s favorite attraction, and my children and I love finding the highest-scoring targets and hidden Mickeys throughout the game! So, here's how it works: Parties of one, two, or three Guests (who would share one single row) would bypass the regular standby queue and wait in a shorter line near the loading area until an empty row needs to be filled. The Pass states that it doesn’t guarantee immediate boarding, since you never know when a row will need to be filled. But chances are pretty good that your wait time will be less than in the standard queue!

Your group of three should be fine using the Moving Buddy Pass, as long as you can sit comfortably in one row. Keep in mind that only two Guests can actually play the game at a time since there are only two launchers per row. So, the Guest sitting in the middle can’t play, but can be a good cheerleader!

I recently asked for this Pass, and was told it wasn’t available at that time. So, if it’s not being offered in the morning, try again later. Simply ask the Cast Member at the entrance to the attraction. Typically, if there’s another Cast Member standing at the ramp to the left of Mr. Potato Head, there’s a good chance it’s available.

Have so much fun exploring the newly-reimagined Pixar Pier!
