Why hello again Sarita, it's great to see you back here at planDisney!
Now if I recall correctly, you're a big fan of meeting and greeting our Character friends at Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm glad to have been able to help you navigate your way to
finding folks like Moana or
Raya at the various Disney Destinations they visit. Now when it comes to tracking down someone like Tarzan, you are indeed correct to observe that he's definitely one of the rarer friends that one can meet so to help us out I reached out to a Cast Member from the
Walt Disney World Resort Entertainment team for a bit more insight on whether it's possible to have this elusive encounter.
Formerly in years past, Tarzan could occasionally be spotted at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park which seemed to be much more often a decade ago! I was able to confirm with a very good friend of Tarzan who let me know that he unfortunately does not have any scheduled appearances at any of the theme parks at the current time, nor does he anticipate any in the near future. However, Tarzan does swing in for a visit on very special occasions, such as the exclusive Disney Vacation Club Member Moonlight Magic Event this past summer or even the runDisney Marathons and running events! These appearances that take place can never be guaranteed nor anticipated, so Tarzan showing up anywhere tends to be more of a chance to surprise and delight guests fortunate enough to spot him at that specific time.
As for opening hours, you may be well aware of how much they fluctuate over the course of the year and vary between each of the theme parks; at the current time the Hours & Events Calendar is limited to show posted opening and closing times about two months in advance, so I recommend checking back in February ahead of your visit in April. In my experience, I've found a greater likelihood for opening hours until 10:00 p.m. and beyond during the summer months when the days are longer and the nights are warmer, which often results in additional showings of various nighttime spectaculars like Fantasmic!
