Welcome to planDisney, Abee!
October will be here before we know it, so it’s awesome that you’re figuring out your itinerary’s final details. Because of spooky season at The Most Magical Place on Earth, Magic Kingdom Park’s theme park hours are a bit bewitched. I am more than happy to answer your question, so that you have a clearer idea about what to expect.
Before I get into the answer, I must say that visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during Halloween is a blast.
Disney Springs, one of my favorite spots to shop and eat on property, is home to not-so-spooky treats, merch, and photo opps during that time. Also, Minnie Mouse and her friends are dressed in their seasonal best at the
Hollywood & Vine character lunch and dinner at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Halloween decor at Magic Kingdom Park can be experienced during the day, too, even if you’re not going to the after-hours party.
Magic Kingdom Park usually closes at 6 p.m. on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights. There’s a gap between the theme park closing and the party officially starting at 7 p.m. So, if you have any last-minute shopping to do, you can do it during this time. But without a party wristband, you won’t be able to stay in the park for long or experience any more attractions.
Once the theme park closes, if you have a theme park ticket with a
Park Hopper Option or an annual pass, feel free to visit another theme park that’s still open. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park’s hours tend to be shorter, but Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT (which will be hosting the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival at that time) should be open. You can check the official
theme park hours calendar to get the most up-to-date hours. At the time of this writing, the late October dates’ hours have not been posted.
Abee, get ready to gear up for your great adventure! Until then, if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions,

Magic always,
