Hey Howdy Hey Danielle and welcome to planDisney fellow Buckeye!
During the peak of the pandemic and the closures in 2020, there was a lot that happened at Walt Disney World Resort that was unprecedented. As things began to open, Disney did it right and with caution with the initial limitation of resort hopping and such. Now that things are continuing to trend in the right direction, we are looking at a vacation experience that is much like what we are used to before the pandemic, with a few variations. Thank you for your question on resort hopping and dining. I would be happy to assist you with these answers as this is a pivotal part of our trips to Walt Disney World also!
Danielle, I am so happy to let you know that resort hopping is back and dining at resorts other than your own is as well! Feel free on your upcoming trip to visit other resorts via
Disney Resort Transporation and check out the resort and the food that it has to offer! This is such a good way to do a little investigation on the resort itself for upcoming stays or just to sample some of the many benefits resorts offer Guests of Walt Disney World!
I wanted to let you know about a huge time-saving option you will have on your next trip and that is
Mobile Order. Since the pandemic, this has spread throughout much of the resort at quick service locations and is so nice to use to save time instead of waiting in line. Did you know that if you planned to dine at a certain quick service location, you can preselect your order and widow of arrival? As you get closer to your location and your window opens up, tap on the "Prepare My Order" button on your
My Disney Experience app and then the app will let you know when your order is ready to be picked up! Super convenient if you wanted to run through
Capt. Cook's at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for an order of
Tonga Toast and then enjoy a nice boat ride over to Magic Kingdom just in time for the park to open!
I hope this was the word you wanted to hear to make planning your next trip that much more exciting! Please feel free to stop back and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!
Happy Planning,
Nick
