A supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and friendly welcome to planDisney today, Gemma!
I'm delighted to confirm that you're right, Walt Disney World provides its Disability Access Service (DAS) to all Guests who, because of a disability, cannot wait in a typical queue environment. Once DAS is in place, it allows up to five fellow Guests to select return times for experiences rather than waiting in line.
As a fellow U.K. resident, I know we can't preregister for DAS. Not to worry whatsoever! It takes mere moments to obtain DAS once you arrive at any Walt Disney World theme park. Simply speak with
Guest Relations to determine if DAS would be a good fit. Better yet, this quick process must only be completed once for DAS to be valid for your entire trip.
Cast Members are kind and helpful folk, so please ask if there's anything else they can help with, like guidance on storing and refrigerating necessary medicine. There are lots of online resources to help
Guests with disabilities preplan for their needs online.
Gemma, I sincerely hope this information helps you to make many magical memories at Walt Disney World. I always like to remind Guests that Walt Disney World is about
so much more than thrilling rides, and always remember, YOU are the magic!
