Hi, I'm visiting Disney in May 2016 with my family. My daughter is disabled, is there any disabled rest rooms with hoisting facilities? Thank you in advance

    Hello, Maria!

Thank you for bringing an excellent question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Unfortunately, there are no hoisting devices available in public restrooms. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, then you can request an accessible room that offers with tub/shower lift. You will need to contact a Disney Reservation Specialist or your Disney Resort hotel before your visit so that your special request can be noted on your reservation.

While you are in the parks, you may be interested in the conveniently located companion-assisted restrooms. These spaces are large enough to accommodate more than one person and have safety rails along the walls. You will find a changing station; however these are more appropriate for young Mouseketeers. My husband and I often use Companion Restrooms to assist our son, as they offer plenty of space for his wheelchair stroller and room for us to move about easily. To find restroom locations, use the interactive maps using the link above or My Disney Experience mobile app

I hope this helps, Maria. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance as you continue to plan your magical visit!
