I am Corey of planDisney. You will read my answer, sail to Disneyland Resort, and find the Moana character meet-and-greet. Rebecca, I'm so glad you've come to planDisney, but we may need to fish beyond the reef to find Moana.
The best way to find characters is to use the
Disneyland Mobile App. When you arrive, click the pin drop icon at the bottom of your screen, find the "Characters" button at the top, then click the list button. This should show you all of the characters in the parks and where they're located. I've heard that if you wear a dress and have an animal sidekick, you're a princess. The app will help you find the other princesses, too.
Moana has been spotted in several places. First, the
Mickey and Friends Celebrate Happy Cavalcade features Moana alongside other Disney princesses. There are two showings on the day you're at the park, at 1:30 and 2:45. Main Street, U.S.A. is a great place to view the cavalcade.
Rebecca, there are two places in Disneyland Resort where Moana has been spotted greeting villagers. She has been known to take a break from wayfinding in Disneyland near "it's a small world," usually in the morning. She is also most commonly spotted in Disney California Adventure in
Hollywood Land. You can always visit one of the blue umbrellas to ask a Guest Relations Cast Member if they know where and when Moana's next voyage will be.
I hope you and your granddaughter have a magical moment when you meet Moana. If you're not able to find her... blame it on the pig.
