Hi, I'm visiting from Australia late Oct 2026.Wondering how to get from LAX to Disneyland Hotel. Looked into Uber&Shared Shuttles.Very expensive on my own.Do you know of any shuttles/transport that I can share with others? Thanks

    Hi Christine,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for continuing to trust us with your planning questions. Starting your trip off on the right foot means making sure your transportation from the airport to the Disneyland Resort goes smoothly. Luckily, you have several great options for getting from the airport to “The Happiest Place on Earth.”

Disneyland offers a few recommendations for traveling from LAX to the resort. While Disney does not have its own shuttle service, it does recommend that Guests use Karmel Shuttle. You can reserve a shuttle ahead of time to secure your spot and arrive at the Disneyland Resort without stress. When I travel, I personally prefer using a rideshare service such as Lyft—I find it gets me to my destination more quickly, and I don’t have to wait on other passengers.

If you haven’t purchased your plane ticket yet, you may also want to consider flying into John Wayne Airport (SNA). This airport is much closer to the Disneyland Resort than LAX, which makes rideshare services more affordable. They also have several shuttle service options available.

As a reminder, hotel check-in begins after 3:00 p.m. If your flight arrives earlier, I recommend using the hotel pre-check-in feature on the Disneyland app. If you notify the hotel in advance about your early arrival, they may be able to prepare a room for you as soon as one becomes available.

One last tip: keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for information on Halloween Time 2026! They should release an event guide and a Foodie Guide as the season gets closer. Doing a little research ahead of time will help ensure you don’t miss out on any of the magical experiences—or the delicious treats!

I hope this information is helpful, Christine. If you have any other questions or need help planning your Disney adventure, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share more tips, especially Halloween tips!

    Have a spooktacular vacation!
