Welcome to planDisney, Andrew! We love to answer each Guest's Disney vacation planning questions. Speaking of which, let's get your question answered.
At this time, residents of the United Kingdom are unable to pre-purchase single-day tickets from outside of the United States. Currently, the only options for pre-purchase are
7 or 14-day tickets. If you'd like to purchase a single-day ticket, you would be able to do so once you arrive in the United States. I would strongly encourage you to do it as soon as possible because, at this time,
Theme Park Reservations are required for all Guests for entry into the theme parks at the
Walt Disney World Resort until January 9, 2024. Please note that when you purchase single-day tickets, a Theme Park Reservation will automatically be made for you. If you decide to get more than one day, you'll need to make a reservation for each day you'd like to visit a park.
While there is more than enough to do at all of the theme parks to occupy yourself for an entire day, this is especially true for
Magic Kingdom Park. If you'd like to minimize your wait time standing in a physical queue so you can get more done, you can also purchase the
Disney Genie+ Service which allows you to make reservations for
Lighting Lanes, one at a time, for a shorter wait time at select experiences at the park. And at this time, your ticket to Magic Kingdom Park allows you two opportunities to try to obtain a Boarding Group through the
Virtual Queue for
TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise. You can do this through the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Your first opportunity will be at 7 a.m. and you can do it from anywhere. Your second opportunity, should you not get a Boarding Group in the morning, will be at 1 p.m. and you will need to be inside of the park to join.
Andrew, I hope you have a wonderful visit to the resort. If you have any other questions,
just reach out again!
Don't lose your head over a gooseberry pie,
Matt
