¡Hola Julio!
Bienvenido a planDisney! I am so excited about your upcoming trip to the
Most Magical Place on Earth! Planning a multi-generational trip can be a little complicated depending on the vacation style of each family member. During our vacations, we have those who are at the parks from dawn to dusk and those who need a rest in between park visits. That balancing act can definitely be tough, but we manage to get everyone to enjoy our family trip!
Julio, I understand the need to plan for the health of your father-in-law when visiting the theme parks. One suggestion I have is to
rent a scooter. This will allow your father-in-law to take a break as needed, and he does not need to feel rushed to join the party or keep up with others. You can opt to rent a scooter at the theme parks on the same day, or you can choose to utilize Walt Disney Worlds' featured provider, ScooterBug. They will bring the scooter to your lobby, and you will be able to utilize it throughout the length of your stay. When you are heading back home, you can leave the scooter in your lobby, and ScooterBug will retrieve it.
Another option is to register your father-in-law for the
Disability Access Service. This will allow him to wait for attractions outside of the conventional queue. You can speak with Guest Services upon your arrival at the parks and they can explain the DAS process and discuss his eligibility or mobility options with him.
