I'm usually ok but if I have to stand or walk for long periods of time, I tend to end up needing a cane and a brace around my knee. Can I bring a cane into the park?

    Hiya Melissa,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for visiting us today; we appreciate you bringing your question to us and letting us be a part of your journey.

Disneyland Resort may be magical, but you will definitely spend a lot of time on your feet. If you are anything like me, between walking and standing in line at attractions, you are sure to move more in one visit than a typical week. That said, you can certainly bring your cane to Disneyland Resort. There is nothing in the Disneyland Resort Property Rules that specifically prohibits it. The only thing I want to draw your attention to is the handle of your cane. When I was visiting Walt Disney World recently, I saw someone trying to enter the Theme Parks with a cane with a miniaturized weapon shape, and they were denied admission with the cane. Disneyland Resort prohibits anything resembling a weapon, so if your cane has a handle that could be perceived as a weapon, it will not be allowed in. However, a standard cane is practically perfect in every way!

I hope this was helpful, Melissa! I hope you enjoy your upcoming vacation. Don’t forget to pace yourself and take plenty of snack breaks! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
