I’m using a friends Disney points for my resort stay. How do I purchase tickets and take advantage of the early park entry for staying on property? all I have is a piece of paper with a reservation confirmation number in my name.

Hi there, Mike! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. I'm happy to help add a little extra pixie dust to your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I see that your arrival is coming up soon, so let's get down to business!

How cool that you have a Disney Vacation Club connection and were able to use some of their Vacation Points for your late April stay. One of my favorite benefits of being a DVC Member is being able to share the magic with friends and family. I recently booked a Deluxe Studio at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa for one of my planDisney besties for an upcoming reunion, and I'm so glad our whole squad will be able to be near each other for maximum merrymaking!

Mike, your first step is to create a My Disney Experience account if you do not already have one. Once you have this set up, select the "My Disney Experience" option at upper right, then "My Plans". Scroll down to the heading "My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets" and you will see a blue rectangle with a + sign to "Add More Plans". From here, select "Resort Hotel Reservations" and you can enter the confirmation number for your booking that your friend provided.

Once this reservation appears in My Disney Experience, you can check in online for your vacation, purchase theme park tickets, and book dining reservations. You should also download the My Disney Experience mobile app, which will allow you to see all of your plans in one place.

As a Guest staying at a Disney hotel, you can enjoy Early Theme Park Entry and get a head start on the magic every day! On-property Guests may enter the parks 30 minutes before the posted opening time, and I can tell you from experience that you'll be able to hop on an attraction or two within that time frame before the regular opening.

It's important to know that you need to have a valid park ticket to be eligible for this benefit. To verify your reservation for early entry, you will also need to have a room key, a MagicBand+, or Disney MagicMobile. I can't say enough good things about MagicMobile--you can set up a pass on your mobile device and use it for entry to Virtual Queues and Lightning Lanes, access to Disney PhotoPass pictures, and more!

Mike, I threw a lot of information at you, so if you have more questions, please don't hesitate to reach out directly if I can help clarify anything! Wishing you the most magical vacation and safe travels!

    See Ya Real Soon,
