I'm still undecided about adding the of the Dining Plan to my already booked trip (WDW resort & park tickets) March 2023. What is the cut off date for adding the plan to the trip? If the trip is PIF, can I add & pay at time of purchase?

Bonjour, Andrea! It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you back to planDisney. Please be our Guest ... Our command is your request!

Before you know it, you'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort, ready to embark on your magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting, Andrea! And since you have your Walt Disney World vacation package, including your Disney Resort hotel room and theme park tickets, booked, it sounds like your planning is off to a practically perfect start. But to get the Dining Plan or not to get the Dining Plan ... that is the question. Let's chat about how long you have to decide!

I spoke with a helpful Cast Member who informed me that you should be able to add the Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package up to 24 hours before your arrival date, as this is how it was done in the past. She did, however, mention that since the Dining Plan will just be returning, it is possible that this policy has changed or could change soon. To be on the safe side, I recommend making your decision about modifying your vacation package to add the Dining Plan at least 30 days before your check-in date. That way, you will know for sure that it can be added if you wish.

Just be aware that if you do add the Disney Dining Plan less than 30 days before your arrival and after your final balance is due, the total amount of the Dining Plan will be due at the time of purchase.

For what it's worth, I absolutely love and miss the Disney Dining Plan, and I am so excited for its return. I love feeling free to splurge on my must-do character dining, getting a cocktail with every meal (it's vacation, after all) and enjoying unlimited soft drinks in my adorable Resort-Refillable Drink Mug. But I think what I really love the most is having my entire vacation paid for by the time I arrive. I can stay immersed in the magic without ever even thinking about a budget. Now, that is pure pixie dust!

I hope this helps, Andrea, and if you decide to add the Disney Dining Plan, I hope you enjoy it course by course, one by one, until you shout, "Enough, I'm done!" Stop by any time with any questions you may have and be sure to try the Grey Stuff! It's delicious!

    Bon appetit,

    Mandy
