Hi Michelle!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you want to embark upon a full yEAR of fun at both The Happiest Place on Earth and the Most Magical Place on Earth with
Disney's Premier Passport.
Disney Premier Passports must be purchased in person at any
Guest Relations location at Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort ticket booths. Usually this pass must be paid in full at time of brand new purchase. But, the way I understand it, you can also pay the difference between whichever pass you currently have and the price of the Premier Passport in one payment. You can even still keep any payment plan you may have for the cost of the initial pass. Do note that upgrading a current pass to the premier can also only be done in person. And also note that when paying the difference, your new premier pass will only be valid for the amount of time left on the current contract of your original pass, and will not tack on an additional 12 months to your current contract or start the clock at zero the way signing a brand new contract would.
One of my favorite things is to discover when bouncing between these two resorts are the slight differences between the same attractions on both coasts. (I'm looking at you, Pirates of the Caribbean.) I also love that those who call either set of parks home can relive the glory days of attractions lost but the other still has, such as Country Bear Jamboree, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at
Walt Disney World Resort, and at
Disneyland Resort Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and the entirety of ToonTown.
I hope this information helped, Michelle, and that you have your happiest year yet soaking up all the magic with this Premier (premEAR??) Pass, and We'll See You Real Soon!
~Kristen
