Hi John Donald!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Thank you for sending in such a good question. I am also from the UK so this is something I have considered. The simple answer is that you can use a Travel Agent from the USA, but please ensure that they are an authorised Disney agent. There are pros and cons for everything - a travel agent will arrange everything for you if you want them to - including your
FastPass+ and
dining reservations. I actually enjoy being in control of all those things myself (!) and obviously our time difference of being 5 hours ahead of ET time in the USA means that we can make our reservations at an easier time of (approx) 10.45am for dining, and 12.00 midday for FastPass+. The booking terms and conditions can vary too. You may be able to cancel without penalty at a much later date than we can in the UK, but this is all subject to change and must be confirmed with your agent. Another reason I prefer to make my bookings through the major tour operators in the UK is our £/US$ exchange rate. In recent years it has been more cost effective for us to make our payment in £ to get the most value.
I would advise that you do some research to see what would work the best for you. The specialists at the
Walt Disney Travel Company International, on UK freephone number 0800 028 0778, are always happy to answer any booking questions you may have. All
special deals are clearly displayed on the website and it's always worth checking to see what is available. If you are purchasing park tickets, our
UK Ultimate Tickets offer such a competitive deal - currently you can purchase 7, 14 or 21-day tickets with unlimited theme park hopping, including the water parks - Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach, with
Memory Maker included (all subject to change). You can add all these extra benefits to the park tickets purchased in the USA, for an extra charge.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World Resort, and keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the official news about any events that may be happening during your stay.
