A warm welcome to planDisney, Soraya! Yippee, you are SOOOO close to your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World in September 2024!
The new
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass can offer a fantastic way to maximise your time in the Parks.
Once on US soil, you can use the
My Disney Experience App to access the advance purchase of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass or the Lightning Lane Single Pass. As a Disney Resort hotel Guest, you can book for the rest of your stay (up to two weeks). One of the great features of the updated Lightning Lane Multi Pass is that you will know what three rides are available and the timings of pre-bookable Lightning Lanes in advance, giving you greater clarity before purchase.
Guests are all in the same boat on the day beyond those three pre-bookable Lightning Lanes. Once they tap into their Lightning Lane, Guests can look to book another on My Disney Experience.
Lightning Lane Single Pass is available for the most popular rides (not applicable through the Lightning Lane Multi Pass option). You can buy up to 2 single passes, subject to availability, each day. Pricing for all options varies by day and ride choice but will be clearly displayed in the My Disney Experience App before you make any purchases.
I particularly like to remind Guests from the UK that we are lucky to enjoy typically longer stays in the Disney bubble. This gift of time allows us to soak up every moment and truly embrace the enchanting atmosphere. While Lightning Lanes can certainly help shorten wait times, Disney magic is present everywhere, and our family has enjoyed many days in the Parks without using Lightning Lane access. And remember, all rides have a standby queue (except for three), where you can check up-to-date wait times in your My Disney Experience App and join the queue.
Three rides work slightly differently by using a
Virtual Queue:
Tiana’s Bayou AdventureTRON Lightcycle / RunGuardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic RewindGuests can request to enter these Virtual Queues (through their My Disney Experience App) with valid admission. Typically, you have two opportunities each day, at 7 am and 1 pm. For the afternoon request, you must be in the relevant Park: EPCOT for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Magic Kingdom Park for the other two. There is no charge to access Virtual Queues.
Indeed, there is no charge for many fantastic features in the My Disney Experience App. It’s your source for up-to-date wait times, maps, mobile food orders, and more.
I hope this information helps, Soraya. I recommend checking the Walt Disney World website for any updates. I wish you the most magical adventure, and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!
