Hi, im from the Uk and I want to book reservations for a few character meals. We're not on a dining plan so can you tell me do we pay have to pay a deposit or the full amount when making reservations. Also how far in advance can we book. Thank you

    Hi Zainab,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  What a great question!  I'm happy to hear you are planning on booking some character dining while at Walt Disney World Resort, I truly believe dining with the characters will make your vacation even more memorable.

Guests are able to make dining reservations 180 days in advance, and I would recommend booking as close to your 180 day window as possible, as reservations for popular character dining locations fill up quickly.  Most dining locations will only require a credit card guarantee, and nothing will be charged to your credit card unless you miss the reservation, and then a small fee per person will be charged to your card.  If your plans change, all you need to do is cancel your reservations 24 hours prior.  Please be aware that the cancellation policies will vary slightly from location to location, so it is important to double check each reservation.   For certain locations such as Cinderella's Royal Table and any of the dinner shows, prepayment will be required for guests that do not have the dining plan.

I hope my answer helps Zainab.  Please let me know if you have any further questions, I would be happy to help!
