Hi, Im turning 30 next october and plan on going to WDW, I've always wanted to stay at the grand floridian, but my question is: is it worth it? And also can I split the stay? Maybe 1 night at grand floridian just to fulfill a dream and the rest at contem?

    Hi there, Sofia!

I'm absolutely loving your plan of a trip to Walt Disney World for your 30th birthday! I can't think of a better place to celebrate such a milestone!

I've stayed at Disney's Grand Floridian, and I have to tell you, I enjoyed the atmosphere so much! In the mornings, we'd all just relax, my hubby and I would make a cup of coffee and we'd crack the slider door open so we could hear the whistle of the Walt Disney World Railroad at the Magic Kingdom! The location of our room allowed us to also hear the gentle glide of the monorail sailing past overhead...it was completely magical! I can't think of a better time to fulfill your dream of spending one night there! You will not be disappointed!

I also have to say, a split stay is a super idea and you can absolutely do that, you'd just need to make two separate reservations. One of the best things about splitting your stay within the properties at Walt Disney World is that you'll get two completely different Resort experiences. The way I figure it, the more the merrier! Now, here's the best part. On the morning that you're checking out of your first stay, you simply go to bell services with your luggage and let them know that you'd like it transferred to your next Resort and they'll take care of the rest! Your luggage will normally arrive within 3-4 hours and once you drop it off, you're free to go enjoy your day with no worries! They'll hold your luggage for you at bell services at your next Resort and you can just stop by to pick it up on your way in. If you're too tired for that, you can just call down from your room and have it brought up as well.

I sure hope this helps you make your decision, Sofia! If you need any more help planning your fantastic birthday celebration, please come back and see us!

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
