Hello Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney with a great question!
I have such fond memories of visiting the Walt Disney World Resort over the last 50 years with my family. I can only imagine the core memories that I would have if only Disney’s PhotoPass Service and Memory Maker had been around then.
Disney PhotoPass is a service created to allow photographers to capture Guests’ magical moments during character meet-and-greet locations, family photos in front of iconic landmarks in all theme parks, capture onboard ride photos, and much more. Do you have a favorite Disney Character or attraction that would make a great backdrop for a group photo? Use the My Disney Experience mobile app to find the location of the nearest PhotoPass Photographer to capture your photo for you free of charge.
Memory Maker is a digital product that gives you the rights to all your photos that are taken by PhotoPass Photographers during your trip. If you have a Memory Maker linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can download all your precious photos taken to your phone, computer or laptop. Since you are a
Disney Annual Passholder, you can add-on Memory Maker for the length of your Annual Pass for $99, subject to change. You will need to purchase this add-on with a Cast Member at Guest Relations. Once your Memory Maker is active, you will have access to all your photos for a year from the date they are taken. Just remember to purchase the Memory Maker add-on again when the time comes to renew your Annual Pass.
Say cheese,
Andrea
