Hi Carl, welcome to planDisney!
Basil of Baker Street is The Great Mouse Detective. PlanDisney panelists are the great Disney vacation-planning detectives. Using your terrific clues, let's work together to connect your Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket to your My Disney Experience account.
If your wholly unused theme park ticket is currently linked to a member of your Family & Friends list, ask that family member to follow these steps to reassign the ticket to you in their
My Disney Experience mobile app:
1. Click the three small lines at the bottom right of the app's home page, followed by "Tickets and Passes."
2. Scroll to the ticket they wish to reassign and click the "Reassign Ticket" icon underneath the image of the ticket.
3. Select your name from "Your Family & Friends" and click "Reassign."
If your ticket appears to be linked to you in a family member's My Disney Experience account but does not appear in the "Tickets and Passes" section of your My Disney Experience mobile app, my detective skills tell me it is currently linked to a duplicate My Disney Experience account profile managed by your family member's account. That family member should follow these steps to merge the duplicate profile with your account:
1. Access their Family & Friends List in their My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines --> Scroll down to "My Profile" --> Click the "Family & Friends List" tab.
2. Select your name, Carl, which my suspicions tell me appears with the words "Plans Managed by Me" underneath.
3. Click "Update Info."
4. Click "Send Email," enter the email address connected to your My Disney Experience account, and click "Send Invitation."
Once you accept the email invitation to connect, Carl, all of the vacation entitlements housed in your family member's My Disney Experience account, including your linked ticket, will transfer to your account. You and your family will remain connected as Family & Friends, which means you can view and make plans for each other.
I hope this information helps solve the mystery. If not, please follow up with me
directly and include as many details as possible. As Basil of Baker Street proclaimed, "There's always a chance, as long as one can think."
Thinking of you,
Jennifer
