So I’m trying to get a rough estimate of how much it would cost for my husband and I and our infant to go to Disney World but the flight option isn’t available and I’m wondering why because last time we went to Disney World in January 2020 it was

Greetings, and welcome to planDisney, Jolene, we thank you for your question!

Planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is exciting, to begin with, let alone planning a visit with your precious child, who, as an infant, will be a Guest of Mickey Mouse, congratulations!

When planning my Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages that included theme park tickets, and airfare, I found the cost of the airfare a little higher than if I booked directly through a Canadian carrier myself because the price quoted for air within a vacation package is always in U.S. dollars, therefore, you "may" be paying more for the difference in the exchange rate, and very rarely have I seen any airfare sales applied. Not to mention the rewards points that you may possibly be able to accumulate or have accumulated through WestJet travel rewards or Air Canada Avion points to then apply to your air travel, or perhaps you could even utilize any accumulated Air Miles for air travel. The reason, in my opinion, why airfare options may not be available at this time for Canadian residents, may be a result of many imposed restrictions revolving around the pandemic.

As soon as you book your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, using the reservation confirmation number, please link your reservation to your My Disney Experience planning area or by using the My Disney Experience mobile app. From there, please make your Disney Park Pass - Theme Park Reservations as this is the process of visiting the theme parks at this time.

    Tips:
Be sure to arrange your return transportation from the airport to Walt Disney World Resort, as Disney's Magical Express has been retired - many other options include the reliable Mears Connect Transportation, rideshare services, taxi services, or you may wish to rent a vehicle.

Walt Disney World Resort's Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones resource will help make your stay more convenient with ideas for touring with an infant and utilizing such conveniences as the Baby Care Centers located in all four theme parks.

Consider adding the theme park ticket option called the Disney Genie+ service to save time waiting in lines for attractions and experiences that offer the Lightning Lane entrance, or you are also welcome to opt into the service on the very day of your reserved theme park visit to be ready to make your first selection at 7:00 AM - it's a good idea to update the Payment Method in the My Disney Experience app to facilitate app transactions such as adding the Disney Genie+ service, enjoying Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering and much more!

Create a Disney MagicMobile pass to access your theme park admission from your digital wallet and to enjoy other MagicBand entitlements with Disney MagicMobile Service via the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

Jolene, I hope that this information is helpful, it was my immense pleasure assisting a fellow Canadian Disney fan, please stop by to ask me any other Disney vacation planning questions, thank you kindly!
