I’m trying to reserve a ticket for April 30 but it says Disneyland park is closing at 8:00 for an event will California adventure park still be open until 10:00

Hi Jocelyn! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

There's a handy Daily Events Schedule you can always check for park hours, Entertainment and Parade schedules, and refurbishment information. I checked your preferred date, and you are correct that Disneyland Park is closing early for a Special Ticketed Event.

Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite will be taking place, and if you're interested in celebrating the Season of the Force at this nighttime event, tickets are currently still available for purchase. It's a great way to enjoy Attractions with shorter queues, rare Character Meet & Greets, special Disney PhotoPass opportunities, and themed Entertainment. We attended last year and had an absolute blast. You can also dress the part, following the special costume guidelines, which adds to the fun. We loved one of our PhotoPass photos from the night so much that we used it as our holiday card.

Disney California Adventure Park is not closing early on your preferred park day. I hope that's good news! I also checked theme park reservation availability for you, and it looks like they are available for both parks. There's plenty to explore in one park or you can fit both into your park day. You can either purchase a Park Hopper and enjoy both parks, hopping over to Disney California Adventure Park when Disneyland Park is getting ready to close for all but the Star Wars Nite ticket holders or you can purchase an admission ticket for Disney California Adventure Park and get a full day of fun in uninterrupted by the Special Ticketed Event. With Park Hopper, you're selecting the park you'd like to start your day in. Reservation availability is not guaranteed and can change quickly, however, so make your admission ticket purchase and theme park reservation as soon as possible.

Even without a ticket to Star Wars Nite, you can enjoy some sips and treats that might as well have originated from outside of this galaxy. Check out the Foodie Guide for Season of the Force. Disney Eats is the official food and beverage news source for the parks, and its guides have all the information you need to put together your must-try list before visiting the parks!

May the Force be with you.
