I’m trying to reserve for may 28 but it’s not letting me

Hiya, Shelby! Welcome to planDisney where we love helping our fellow Guests plan the most magical days at the Disneyland Resort! I can see we are just a few days away from your hopeful park day, so let's get right to it!

May 28th is going to be a big one! Fantasmic! is returning to the Rivers of America at Disneyland Park that evening after a long hiatus. I know many Guests have been waiting for its anticipated return! There's something just so magical about this area coming to life at twilight whether you've staked out a spot to watch the show or if you're just passing by. Imagine Mickey's dreams coming to life with special effects, epic Disney storytelling, fireworks, and an unforgettable finale! I know that I have missed it and will be one of the Guests first in line to see it again!

It sounds like you already have theme park tickets or a Magic Key and are just trying to secure a theme park reservation for the 28th. There are two reasons that you might be having some difficulty:  1) you are holding a single-day ticket that is in a lower tier than what May 28th requires or 2) there may not be reservations available for that date. I'm happy to walk you through both scenarios so we can try to get you into the parks that day.

Let's take a look at your ticket first. Single-day tickets are sold based on day of the week and time of year and fall into one of six tiers, each with its own set of black-out dates. If you have a single-day ticket, you can check which tier it belongs to by opening up your Disneyland Mobile App and tapping the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner. Select "Tickets & Passes" and on the next screen, you should see any active tickets you are holding. The tier should be indicated just under the barcode. You could also check your original ticket confirmation email which will indicate the ticket tier as well. Taking a glance at the ticket tier breakdown, I can see that you would need to be holding a Tier 5 or Tier 6 ticket to make a reservation for May 28th. You can upgrade to a higher tier by visiting Guest Relations in person, or you could always try giving the Guest Services team a call and discussing your situation directly. If you upgrade on the day of your hopeful visit, you would need to secure a new reservation and same-day reservations may be limited. Just a little pixie-dusted tip to be aware of!

In the second scenario, we may just be seeing limited reservation availability. I would imagine that reservations might be hard to come by on May 28th with such a beloved show finally making its return to the parks, but let's see what we can find out! Reservations are subject to availability, but if there's one thing I know about Disneyland Guests, they are always changing their plans. Keep a close eye on the theme park reservation calendar, and be sure to toggle to the calendar that corresponds to your ticket type. With some dedicated refreshing, you might see a reservation pop up! Guests are asked to cancel reservations by 11:59 p.m. the evening prior, so that is a great day to check! Looking now, I see that Park Hopper reservations are available for the 28th!

Shelby, I sure hope this was helpful! Drop us a line anytime here at planDisney! We are always here for you!
