The Beak and Barrel is one of the latest additions to
Magic Kingdom Park. It feels as if you've stepped out of your boat on
Pirates of the Caribbean (please don't do that or you might wind up in the brig!) and into a real-life pirate tavern. They offer a menu of specialty cocktails, beer, wine, mocktails, and appetizers. Please note that entrance does not guarantee seating. Some bar areas are for standing. I did this on my last visit and had a great time, but it's good to know that it's a possibility.
When it first opened last year, reservations were difficult to come by, but they have become more attainable lately. There are currently no announced planned closings. I just tried to make reservations for your date and initially found availability for a party of four. When I tried to increase the number, it showed as unavailable.
My advice: Go ahead and make a reservation, even if it's for a smaller number than you need. Make two, if there's availability and you can accommodate your entire group that way. Arrive 15 minutes early for your reservation and explain to the Cast Member that you are together. They may not be able to accommodate you, but you won't know unless you ask! You can also check back as your date gets closer, as cancellations do sometimes occur.
