Hi there Sarah,
I’m sorry to hear you have had some difficulty with registering for the
Disability Access Service (DAS) at the Disneyland Resort. It sure can be frustrating when the various pieces of the digital puzzle we all find ourselves in don’t all fit together as expected.
Yes, you are welcome to meet with a
Guest Relations Cast Member after you arrive at the theme parks to register for Disability Access Service. They will be happy to help tailor an accommodations plan to help make your experience at the Disneyland Resort as magical as possible. Guests wishing to pre-register for DAS may take advantage of
DAS Advance between two and 30 days before arrival.
When I recently registered for DAS using DAS Advance, I had to make a few attempts. One day, I initiated the request but didn’t have much luck. The next time I tried, I was having difficulty again when accessing the queue from my tablet. So I switched over to a PC instead. That worked out well to make the initial connection with a Cast Member. But then my PC’s webcam didn’t function properly for the video interview portion of registration. Fortunately, I was able to switch back over to the tablet. I was very pleased with how easy it was to go back and forth between the two devices without terminating the existing session. As long as I was logged into the same account on both devices, it worked out well. After the video interview was completed, the Cast Member and I completed the registration process in a chat session in the web browser of my table.
I hope that gives a little insight into the process with DAS, Sarah. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us at planDisney at any time.
See ya’ real soon!
