I’m trying really hard to make reservations in Disney for dining. My niece is coming with her 5 yr old daughter.i want to make this as memorable as possible.PLEASE can someone help me?

Hi Mary! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

It's so sweet of you to want to make this visit to Disneyland Resort a special one for your niece and her daughter. I know it will be! My boys adored the parks at that age, and there's so much to do and explore perfectly suited to that age. I bet she'll love Fantasyland and Mickey's Toontown in Disneyland Park.

If you're hoping to make dining reservations, you must do so online. You're currently in your booking window, so I can walk you through how to go about this if it helps. You'll need to sign in to your MyDisney account and select your dining group's size. Then select your preferred date. On the next page, you'll be given the option to search all day or three different times--morning, afternoon, or evening. I suggest you choose all day if your party has flexibility. It'll return the most results. The next page will display all currently open reservations slots. You can further filter the results to show a particular park--Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park--one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, or the Downtown Disney District selection of dining locations.

Next, select a time at a location, and on the next screen, make any necessary requests before clicking "Continue." You'll then be asked for some information, including an e-mail for confirmation and a phone number. Continue to follow the prompts and enter information as prompted, including your credit card information. This will hold your reservation. Cards are charged in many cases if your party doesn't show up, but you should check the dining location's current cancelation policy for more information. These terms are subject to change. When you've followed all the prompts and your reservation is confirmed, you'll receive a confirmation e-mail.

I checked your preferred park date, and for a smaller party, it looks like there are plenty of delicious choices still available both inside and outside the parks at Disneyland Resort. This could change quickly, however, so try to book as soon as possible. If you don't find the perfect immersive experience, don't give up! Last-minute cancellations lead to last-minute new availability. So, you can continue to check the dining reservation availability online or through the Disneyland mobile app even on your preferred park day. You just need a little luck! Nothing is guaranteed, but we usually find something that's right for us.

You might consider booking a Character Dining Experience. It's a great way to meet a bunch of your favorite Characters while enjoying a yummy meal. I see availability at Disneyland Hotel for Goofy's Kitchen and at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for Storytellers Cafe. These are both great buffet choices, featuring some fan favorite Characters. Both hotels are within easy walking distance of the parks, so starting your day with a Character breakfast isn't a bad idea.

You can also hop on the Disneyland Monorail outside Disneyland Hotel and ride right into Tomorrowland if you have a theme park reservation for Disneyland Park. It'll save your feet a few extra steps on a long park day.

    I hope this helps!
