Hello and welcome to planDisney, Barbara!
It is a pleasure to answer your first question and help you prepare for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. In just a few weeks, you will be making pixie-dusted memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
As a fellow international Guest visiting from Brazil, I also get the same message while trying to pre-order MagicBands online before a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. At this time, customized MagicBands are available for purchase up to 6 days before arrival for Guests residing in the United States and Canada. Since MagicBands are not shipped internationally, Guests visiting from other countries are advised to make their purchase upon arrival at the Walt Disney World Resort.
I actually prefer buying MagicBands after arriving at my Disney Resort hotel. They are available at the store located at your resort and at several merchandise locations at the theme parks, Disney Springs, and Disney Resort hotels. I highly recommend visiting
World of Disney store at Disney Springs to check out their MagicBand selection. While at Disney Springs, be sure to stop by
Marketplace Co-Op – D-Tech on Demand, and if you are a Star Wars fan, check out the themed MagicBands at
Star Wars Trading Post. I also like shopping for MagicBands at
Disney’s Pin Traders and
Once Upon a Toy. At the theme parks, my favorite stores to find MagicBands are the
Emporium at Magic Kingdom Park and
Creations Shop at EPCOT.
If you really want to have a MagicBand waiting for you upon arrival at the Walt Disney World Resort, you can try buying one online at
shopDisney.com about two weeks before your check-in date and have it delivered to your Disney Resort hotel. I have done this in the past, and it worked out perfectly. Remember to include the correct mailing address of your Disney Resort hotel, the word “Guest” before your name, and your date of arrival. If possible, I also recommend adding your reservation number. Please note that a
$6 per package handling fee will be charged for each package received through Front Desk on your behalf (fee subject to change without notice).
planDisney tip: Before getting your hands on the perfect MagicBand, you can use a Key to the World card or a
Disney MagicMobile pass to enter the theme parks (with valid admission linked to your Disney account). Key to the World cards are available at the Front Desk at your Disney Resort hotel, and you can use the My Disney Experience app to create a Disney MagicMobile pass and link it to your digital wallet. To open the door of your Guest room, you can also use
Direct-to-Room Service via the My Disney Experience app.
It was a pleasure answering your question, Barbara. I hope this information is helpful and that you have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Best Disney wishes,
Thiana
