Hey there, Jill! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question!
In just days, you'll be embarking on your magical adventure at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I know you must be getting
so excited as you tie up all your loose planning ends! Since you plan on spending less time in line and more time in the magic by purchasing
Lightning Lane Passes, your planning is off to a practically perfect start. Of course, it's less than magical to hear you're having some trouble making Lightning Lane selections, so let's get to it!
For you to make Lightning Multi Pass or Single Pass selections for your entire travel party, you will first have to make sure that everyone in your party is linked to your
My Disney Experience account via your
Family & Friends List and that everyone's park tickets are properly linked to their accounts. To check if everyone is on your Family & Friends List, log into your My Disney Experience account, hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab and click "My Family and Friends." If anyone in your travel party is missing from this list, click the blue "Add a Guest" button and follow the prompts to add Guests to your Family & Friends. Once they accept your invitation to link via email, they should now show on your list.
Once everyone is properly linked to your Family & Friends List, make sure that everyone in your travel party has their park tickets linked to their accounts by clicking "My Plans" under the "My Disney Experience" tab, scrolling down and clicking the blue "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" link under your plans. Everyone's tickets or Annual Passes should be listed here. If someone in your party is missing a ticket, ask them to link their tickets to their My Disney Experience accounts using the website or My Disney Experience app.
Now that everyone on your Family & Friends List has their tickets linked, you should be able to make Lightning Lane selections for everyone! Just confirm your party, and the system will guide you on how to make your three Multi Pass selections and Single Pass selections in advance. If you're still having trouble, I recommend
calling a helpful Cast Member with My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ for assistance. Happy booking!
Once you are enjoying the best Disney day, you'll be able to make a new selection as you tap into each Lightning Lane, based on availability. My favorite strategy is to make an advance Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection as close to park opening as I can. Then, once we are at the park and tap into that first Lightning Lane, we can snag another one from
any group. It increases the odds that we will be able to make a selection for another one of our favorite attractions. Happy planning, Jill!
I hope this helps, Jill, and I hope you can book everyone's Lightning Lanes to maximize the magic! Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have.
You've got a friend in me,
Mandy
