Hi Deborah,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm always happy to help another Florida resident make magical plans for Walt Disney World.
Let's walk through adding Florida resident and non-resident tickets to your cart. First, sign into your My Disney Experience account or create one if you don't have one. Then go to
Buy Theme Park Tickets on the Disney website. You should see the special offers at the top of the list, including Florida resident offers. Choose the tickets you want and add them to your cart, but don't check out yet.
Then, a click on "Continue Shopping for Theme Park Tickets" at the bottom of cart will return you to the Buy Theme Park Tickets page. If you scroll past all the special offers, you should see the spot to purchase theme park tickets for all guests. You can then add those to your cart.
If you have difficulty with all that clicking (and sometimes it can be confusing), you can always
call the help line for Tickets and Reservations and speak with a cast member for assistance.
Now for the fun stuff -- where to go with your tickets. I always recommend starting at Magic Kingdom, the original, iconic Walt Disney World park. There's nothing more exciting than strolling up Main Street USA toward Cinderella Castle, flying on Space Mountain, yo-ho-ho-ing with the Pirates of the Caribbean and singing along on it's a small world. If you haven't visited in a while, you'll find lots that's new, including
TRON Lightcycle/Run,
Tiana's Bayou Adventure, and the spectacular
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade.
For my family, Epcot is a must-stop on any Disney vacation. After we save the world on
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and zoom around Test Track, we love to stroll leisurely through the World Showcase, noshing and sipping along the way. Your visit will coincide with
Epcot International Festival of the Arts, which is a visual and culinary delight.
It's so hard to choose between Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom as a recommendation for your third park. It depends on the interests of you and your guests. If you have any Star Wars fans,
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios is a must. Besides amazing views of African and Asian animals, Animal Kingdom features two Broadway-style shows (Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Big Blue...and Beyond!) and some of the most exciting rides at Walt Disney World (
Expedition Everest and
Avatar Flight of Passage).
Whew! So much to consider. Please remember, Deborah, that if you are not staying in a Walt Disney World resort during your visit, you may need a
theme park reservation for each park. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions.
Enjoy,
Wilma
