Hello, Lori!
Welcome to planDisney. As fellow Guests like you, we are more than happy to share our tips and advice based on our real experiences with visiting Disney Parks.
I feel very grateful for the services provided for
Guests with disabilities at the Disneyland Resort. Since members of my own family also have special needs, services like the
Disability Access Service (DAS) help to make our time at the Disneyland Resort more magical than it might otherwise be. The DAS service is for Guests who are unable to use a traditional standby queue at attractions due to a disability. Guests who may benefit from the service may register in one of two ways:
DAS Advance or in-person registration.
Between 30 and 2 days before arrival, Guests who wish to register using DAS Advance must have all of the
theme park tickets of their party linked to their Disneyland Resort account and have
theme park reservations already booked. If you purchased your tickets directly from the Disneyland Resort website, your tickets will already be linked to your account. If you purchased your tickets from another vendor, follow the vendor’s instructions that detail how to link your tickets to your Disneyland Resort account. That may involve visiting the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page and clicking the “Book Theme Park Reservation” button to begin linking your tickets. Once your tickets are linked to your account, you can find your
Disney eTicket IDs in the “Tickets and Passes” screen of the
Disneyland mobile app.
To register with DAS Advance, log on to your account from a device that has an operational webcam or built-in camera between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM. From the
DAS Advance page, click the “Request Live Chat” button to get in the queue for the next available Cast Member. Note that the Guest requiring DAS accommodations must be present for the online video chat portion of the interview. The Cast Member you meet will assess the Guest’s needs and determine the best ways that the Disneyland Resort can support them.
If you don’t have an opportunity to register for DAS in advance, you may do so in person by visiting any of the various
Guest Relations locations throughout the two theme parks. The Guest requiring accommodations must be present for in-person registration. It’s best to have the theme park tickets for your whole party linked to your account in the Disneyland app beforehand. But the Guest Relations Cast Member can also help with that process.
If the Guest qualifies for DAS, your registration will result in a DAS tile being added to the ☰ feature menu of the Disneyland app. That is where you can find attractions that participate in the DAS service. You may book return times up to one attraction at a time within the theme park you have most recently entered. Up to six members of your party, including the Guest requiring services, can be linked to DAS to book return times in the app.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Lori. See ya’ real soon!
