I'm trying to make plans for our upcoming Disney Vacation but due to all the COVID changes, I am having difficulty figuring out what is available and what is not. For various activities/dining, there is a "schedule unavailable" message.

Hi Yvonne! Welcome back to planDisney.

I see you're just a few weeks away from your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Yippee! My family had an amazing visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth earlier this summer and we are already Disney dreaming about our next visit. As Mickey and his friends sing, "get your ears on, you're gonna have a good, good, good, GOOD time!"

I have found the Returning to a World of Magic webpage to be the best resource for making my plans. If you scroll down to the bottom, you'll see a blue box with a menu, where you can click to learn more about changes to theme parks, tickets, dining, experiences, and more. On the Theme Parks & Tickets page, look under "Updates at the Theme Parks" and click "Discover the experiences that will be available." That link opens up a menu, organized by theme park, of the attractions, entertainment, merchandise, and dining experiences that are available. It takes some clicking, but it's a comprehensive list that helps as you make your plans.

When you see "schedule unavailable" or "paused," this means that the experience you're looking at is temporarily unavailable as part of the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort. Having just been there, I can tell you that, in my experience, we had lots to do. While I'm eagerly awaiting the return of more entertainment offerings (did you see the Disney Parks Blog's recent post about several shows returning?), the return of nighttime spectaculars at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT really felt like the magic was there!

For dining, my family loved the option for Mobile Order dining at many Quick-Service locations. If you'll be visiting EPCOT (I hope you do!), the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is a fabulous no-reservations-needed event - sample small bites, desserts, and drinks at food booths all around the World Showcase. If you're having trouble getting Table-Service dining reservations, keep checking the My Disney Experience mobile app, as people change plans all the time.

I hope this helps make planning a little easier, Yvonne! If you have questions about particular experiences or dining, we're here to help, so please stop by again if you have more questions as you count down the days.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
