Hello all! I'm trying to plan a vacation for sometime this year (2014) we are tight on money but was trying to find out more information about the resorts because when I look it up it says that the "value" resorts start at $85 a night when are t

    Hi Nicole,

Thanks so much for stopping into the Mom's Panel. I'm not quite sure what you may be asking here, but as a budget-concious Disney loving gal, I can give you a few tips on how to save when it comes to staying at a Walt Disney World Resort:

    1. Pay attention to the deals. Right now, Walt Disney World is offering up to 30% off your stay at select Disney Resorts during Spring of 2014. This would be a great time to book your stay and save some big bucks.
    2. Add a Disney Dining Plan to your vacation. Most think that the dining plans may take you over budget, but it saves you so much in the long run. You don't have to worry about having extra funds once you arrive to the Resort because it's already added to your vacation package. Plus, by adding a Disney Dining Plan, you'll automatically save instead of buying a la cart.
    3. Figure out if Value Resort Hotels work for you. The Value Resorts are a hidden gem when it comes to staying at a Resort while on a budget. Whether you're a family of 3 or a family of 6, there are affordable accommodations for everyone. The trick is knowing how many are going to be in your party, and figuring out if you will need a regular room or a villa.

Those are just a few tips, but please feel free to come back and ask any specific questions you may have about your trip.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
