Hi Carol,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m thrilled to hear you’re starting to dream about a big family vacation to the
Most Magical Place on Earth in 2026. Planning for a group of ten is no small task, but with a little preparation and the right plan in place, you’ll be well on your way to a trip filled with plenty of core memories. You’ve come to the right person, because helping families navigate their Disney planning journeys, especially those trying to stay on budget and together, is my specialty.
When it comes to where to stay, you’ve got a few great options, but the one that works best for you will depend on the makeup of infants, children, and adults in your party. One of the most cost-effective ways to keep a larger group happy is to book multiple standard rooms or studio accommodations that sleep four to five adults. When making your reservation, you can request that the rooms be near each other or even connecting, depending on availability. This is a solid choice for families who want their own space but still stay close. Be sure to speak to a Cast Member upon check-in to reiterate your request and be willing to wait a little bit longer to get your room, and they will do their best!
If your crew is looking to be a little more together, two
Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort could be a fantastic fit. These suites sleep up to six and include a separate bedroom, two bathrooms, a living area, and even a small kitchenette. The themed spaces, like those inspired by Cars, Finding Nemo, and The Lion King, are an extra fun bonus for kids and kids-at-heart. Plus, you’ll be right on the Disney Skyliner line, making travel to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios a breeze.
If what you're dreaming about is having everyone under one roof, you’ll want to take a look at the 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom villas available within the
Deluxe Villas section of the Disney Resorts Collection. These villas are designed with spacious living areas, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchens, and even an in-room washer and dryer, which is a game-changer when it comes to packing light for a big group. Two of my favorite options for families are
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, which often come with a lower price point and incredible savanna views, and
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, which place you just a short walk or boat ride away from both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The location can’t be beat if park hopping or evening strolls along the water are on your wish list.
Once you’ve narrowed down your resort choice, you’ll want to start thinking about a few other important planning pieces. When is the best time to visit? How many days do you want to spend in the theme parks? Are you hoping to visit more than one park per day with the Park Hopper option? And would adding a Disney dining plan help simplify meals for your group?
I’d be happy to help you walk through all of those decisions, step by step. So when you’re ready to dig in a little deeper, come back and
send me some follow-up questions. There’s nothing I love more than helping fellow Guests plan unforgettable Disney vacations, and I’d be honored to help guide you and your family every step of the way.
Cheers,
Brent
