Hello. I’m trying to plan a trip with my family of 4 to Disney world for the first time. I know it will be pricey but I’m curious as to how many days it will take an average family who are 18 and up to see everything or almost everything?

Hi, Frenchie!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am so excited to hEAR that you and your family are planning your first Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  I have lost count of how many times I have visited The Most Magical Place on Earth, and honestly, I have yet to see and do everything.  With all of the new and exciting additions coming soon to Walt Disney World Resort, there will be even more magic to experience during your vacation!

I would certainly recommend planning to spend as many days at the Walt Disney World Resort as your schedule and budget allow.  I would also suggest that you take advantage of all of the benefits that come along with staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel during your vacation.  Staying right in the middle of the magic will save you so much valuable time in traveling between your resort hotel and the theme parks.

When it comes to choosing how many days you'll need for visiting the theme parks, I recommend that you do a little resEARch on the Walt Disney World Resort website.  Once you know what types of attractions and entertainment are offered at each park, you might have a better idea of how many days you will want to set aside to explore at each one.  During a typical vacation, my family and I tend to spend about five days in the theme parks.  Please keep in mind that when purchasing your theme park tickets, if you add the Park Hopper option, you will have the ability to visit more than one park per day.

Taking in all of the sights and sounds of the theme parks is so much fun, but it can also be exhausting.  If you have time in your itinerary, it's often a good idea to set aside a day or two to relax a bit.  You can use these days for some downtime by the pool or for exploring some of the other resort hotels or Disney Springs.

No matter how many times I visit Walt Disney World Resort or how long I stay, it never feels like enough time.  I am always ready to go back and do it all over again!  I am sure that you will feel the same way after your first visit, Frenchie.

If we can answer any other questions for you as you plan your vacation, please don't hesitate to ask.  See ya real soon!
