I'm trying to plan a trip and my extended family members are still listed on my profile from the last trip. How do I delete them from this trip? My sister in law is "in charge" of the other family members.

Hi Jill! I'm so glad you popped over to my cozy little corner of the planDisney panel!

Your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is fast approaching! It's great to hear that you're taking the time to get all of your mice in a row before you arrive. I understand that having a long list of friends and family members linked to your account can make planning a bit confusing. Have no fear! I'm here to help so you can get back to making magic!

You can remove connected friends or family members using the My Disney Experience app. To do so, open the app and choose the menu button in the bottom right corner of the home page. Next, select "my profile," then choose "Friends & Family List" at the top. Click on the name of the Guest you'd like to delete, then choose "Remove from My List." You'll be prompted to "Remove Guest?" and you should choose the check mark that states, "Yes, Remove." With the click of your magic fingers, this Guest will be removed from your list.

If you'd like to do this online, sign in with your My Disney Experience account. Located on the purple menu bar at the top, you'll see an option with a circled Mickey icon next to the words, "My Disney Experience." Hover over that option and choose "My Family & Friends" from the drop-down menu. Scroll down to the Guest you'd like to delete and select "Update." This Guest's personal information will pop up and you should choose "Remove from this List" in the top right corner. Just confirm and you'll be on your way!

Jill, it is important to note that you cannot delete a Guest who has active plans, including hotel reservations, dining reservations or park tickets. If the tickets and other plans for your upcoming trip are already assigned to the Guests you'd like to delete, you will need to contact a Cast Member in order to disconnect them from your account. You'll find the designated number for this situation here. I'd also like to point out that you do not have to delete these Guests in order for your sister-in-law to make plans for you all! She can invite family and friends to plan and share from her own account, allowing you all to be connected and contribute to the itinerary!

Well, the countdown is on for your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Don't forget to check out all the celebratory happenings of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, which will be in full-swing during your visit!
