I'm trying to plan a trip when my baby will be 6mths.The trip is for my husband who is a kid at heart.I'm curious if its a good idea to plan on taking him since he won't remember anything?

    Hi Amber,

Both of my children were around six months when they took their first trips to Walt Disney World. Those trips hold so many of my favorite Disney memories. I'll never forget the looks on their faces when they saw the characters or how they smiled when we rode it's a small world.

Those trips were also some of our most relaxing vacations because we had to slow down and take things a little easier. It was a great way for my husband and myself to have a little fun and relax, too. A couple of things that made things easier were to bring a sling or baby carrier along with our stroller (my kids were never stroller nappers, but they'd sleep in a sling for hours while we kept touring the parks) and we tried to stick as close to the baby's eating and sleeping schedule as possible. I was able to nurse almost everywhere and the Baby Care Centers were a haven when we needed a cool, quiet place to feed the baby or change a diaper.

My children may never remember their first visits to Walt Disney World, but I'll never forget the memories we made. They make me smile (and tear up) to this day and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Please let me know if you have any other questions about vacationing with a baby or any other part of planning your vacation, Amber.

    Have a magical day,
    Ashley
