I'm trying to plan a surprise cruise for my kids, and I have a question with gratuity, is the additional gratuity for the servers included in the cruise price, or is that extra that you'd pay at the end of the cruise?

    Ahoy, Destiny!

Welcome to the Moms Panel - thanks so much for coming by to visit!

Gratuities are not included in the cost of your cruise, but Disney Cruise Line gives you several ways to take care of tips for your trip.

You can contact Disney Cruise Line up to three days before your trip and pre-pay tips if you like. You can also add your tips to your onboard account. If you'd like to pay in cash, you can always stop by the Guest Services Desk and they will be happy to help you!

Gratuities are a way for guests to reward cast and crew members for excellent service, which you will certainly experience throughout your vacation. Gratuities are at your discretion, but you can find a tipping guide
    here.

My family likes to take advantage of Room Service onboard (you can order Mickey Ice Cream Bars whenever you want!), and always keep some ones on hand for tips. Gratuity isn't included for Room Service, and you tip per visit to your stateroom.

I hope this helps with your planning and budgeting. Your kids are in for the surprise of their lives! Wishing you the most magical voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line.
