I'm trying to plan my son's first trip to DisneyWorld but I'm not sure what age would be good for him to go and actually have fun. He's 2 now and will be 3 in febuary Help moms please

Hi Thalia! How exciting that you're planning your son's first visit to Walt Disney World!

I recently had the opportunity of experiencing a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth with a dear friend and her about-to-be 3 year old son and I will say, we had an AMAZING time with him! The characters are wonderful about approaching smaller children slowly and giving them plenty of time to warm up. The attractions were so much fun when experienced through a toddler's eyes. And our first character meal with Mickey and Friends at 'Ohana one morning nearly brought me to tears. Even now, 6 months later, this sweet little boy still reminds me each time I see him that "Stitch is MY friend, Miss Kim!". Just priceless!

My recommendation would be that you plan to visit Walt Disney World while your son is age 2 during his birthday week this February! As long as you check-in to your Disney resort and purchase Magic Your Way tickets prior to his 3rd birthday, than your son would be entirely FREE (to include dining at table-service restaurants and admission to the theme parks) for the duration of your trip! I'm envisioning an exciting 3rd birthday celebration in Magic Kingdom Park and some extra money in your pocket for birthday presents and souvenirs!

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel! Please feel free to send any additional questions you may have directly to me, as I would be more than happy to share my pixie-dusted suggestions to help you Let the Memories Begin!
