Hiya Hayley! Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by!
I'm excited to hear you are planning a stay at the Walt Disney World Resort in just a month's time! Being that you are a Florida resident, it looks like you don't have too far to travel! There are also Florida resident discounts that may be available during your travel period. I subject checking on the
Walt Disney World website prior to your booking.
There are a few factors to consider when booking your visit. If you plan to stay at a Disney Resorts Hotel, simply enter your travel dates and the number of Guests in your party on the main page of the website. A list of resorts with open availability will populate and you can choose which one will be best for your stay. Once you determine this, you can then select your park tickets to turn this booking into a vacation package. The caveat here is you must purchase at least a 2-day park ticket to group it as a vacation package. If you wish to do so, you can upgrade the tickets to include the
Park Hopper Option and continue with payment.
Hayley, if your goal is to only purchase a one-day park hopper ticket as you mentioned in your question, then you will need to purchase the ticket separately from your resort reservation. When you enter the site, click on "Parks & Tickets" followed by "Florida Residents". From here, click on "Select Theme Park Tickets" to purchase your one-day park hopper tickets. Make sure you are signed into your My Disney Experience account to have access to the
Florida resident rate. If you don't already have a
My Disney Experience account, it only takes a matter of moments to create one. You'll be able to link your park tickets and resort reservations all to this one account.
One thing to keep in mind is
theme park reservations are required for entry into the first park you visit each day. Once you purchase your tickets, make sure to secure your reservations. On the day of your park visit, you'll be able to utilize the Park Hopper Option starting at 2 PM on this day. You will not need reservations to any of the parks you end up hopping to. They are only required for the first park.
Hayley, I hope you have a magical time during your upcoming visit!
