I'm trying to plan meals, traveling to DW in Oct with 8,9, 6,& 3 yr old kids and 8 adults. I've read to take advantage of EMH but I was planning on charctr breakfast with snack for lunch. Do you suggest to forgo the brkfsts or have a big lunch?

    Here’s what we do:

If we want to take advantage of an Extra Magic Hour morning, then we are at the park early and make good use of the low morning crowds. To accomplish this AND have a breakfast, I would book the last seating available. This will give you a couple hours of touring time and then you can have a nice “brunch”.

For a character breakfast on a non-Extra Magic Hour morning, I schedule the breakfast for the first seating (about 1 hour prior to the park’s opening). It usually takes us about an hour to dine at the character breakfast and then we make our way toward the attractions by the park’s official opening time.

I would really suggest not using your early morning Extra Magic Hour for a meal. I absolutely love breakfast so I wouldn’t suggest skipping these wonderful meals. I would not schedule a breakfast for every day though. Touring the attractions in the morning is the most efficient way to get many attractions completed before the crowds begin to arrive. Enjoy!
