Hiya Romaro - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by - you're already making some great choices by starting your planning early! Walt Disney World Resort vacations are such a great way to celebrate family - I'm so excited for you all to be together celebrating your amazing family!
While I come from a relatively small family, I have friends with large families, and planning a reunion trip to Walt Disney World Resort is a significantly different experience for those huge groups. You mentioned a charter bus, which perked up my Mickey ears a bit and got me wondering just how many Guests will be a part of your celebration?! In the past, I know that Disney has considered reservations of 10 or more rooms at Disney Resorts Collection hotels to be a large group, and you may be eligible for some extra pixie dust and planning assistance if your group is that big. Feel free to speak to a
Reservations Cast Member to learn more about options for a large group of that size!
The Walt Disney World Resort consists of
four magical theme parks,
two water parks, the
Disney Springs dining, shopping, and entertainment area, and more than 25
Disney Resorts Collection hotels to choose from! One of the biggest perks of staying at one of these magical Resort hotels is the complimentary transportation offered throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
In addition to complimentary Disney bus transportation, several resorts have additional transportation options to consider. Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Contemporary Resort are on the
Disney Monorail line, providing convenient and futuristic transportation to Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. Similarly, the new
Disney Skyliner connects Disney's Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resorts to both Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. When my family knows that we want to spend most of our time in a particular theme park, we tend to choose a resort with these additional transportation options for added convenience!
Beyond that, you should consider your budget, the sizes and types of rooms each party in your group desires, and any special theming you might enjoy - every resort tells its own magical story! You can experience the luxurious French- and Italian-inspired Disney's Riviera Resort (my personal favorite!), stay right on the African savanna at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, or enjoy the sights and sounds of historic New Orleans at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. That's just a small sampling, and I encourage you to check out all of the options!
Currently,
Disney Dining Plans are not available. My hope is that these Guest-favorite options return soon to make budgeting for meals easier by including these expenses in your vacation package. Don't fret though, you'll have no trouble finding
amazing dining options with or without a Dining Plan!
Please
let me know if any other questions pop up as you continue planning!
