Hi Audrey,
There is no better place to
celebrate a special birthday than at The Happiest Place on Earth! You and your son are going to have a BLAST and make memories you'll cherish for a lifetime!
I'm happy to share that yes, there is a wonderful service for Guests who, due to their disabilities, are unable to wait in traditional queues. You'll want to look into the
Disability Access Service (DAS)! As the mama of an Autistic Mouseketeer myself, this wonderful service has been such a blessing to my son and our family. Several changes are coming to DAS this fall, and they're all for the better! Soon, you'll be able to schedule a video chat with a Cast Member up to 30 days prior to your trip to inquire about the program and get everything all set up if it's deemed that this will be the best way to meet your family's needs. You'll also be able to select up to two attractions per day to arrange prior to your trip with DAS Advance planning. Disney also recently announced that Guests will be able to make DAS plans within the Disneyland mobile app, too, which will be super-duper convenient! I'm happy to share that thanks to all of the great
services for Guests with disabilities, our family has found our Disney adventures to be magical for
everyone!
While the Disability Access Service is fantastic for Guests with disabilities, I'm also happy to share that Disney recently announced the complimentary
Disney Genie service, which will help ALL Guests plan a personalized day full of magic and fun. Or, for a fee of $20 per ticket, per day, Guests may purchase
Disney Genie+, which will allow them to bypass select standby lines one attraction at a time and access the fun through the Lightning Lane. I'd definitely encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more updates about this new service coming later this fall!
Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Audrey. I'm sending pixie dust that you and your son have a truly magical vacation together!
