    Hi Esperanza,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am absolutely thrilled that you are planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

My family loves to travel but we are always on a budget. Here are my tips for your family.

First, check the vacation package price for dates this year so that you can get an idea of what the price might be next year. Although prices and Special Offers do change, I always check the price well in advance. You will need to decide which Resort Hotel might fit within your budget. For your party size, I suggest the Cabins at Disney's Ft. Wilderness ResortDisney's Art of Animation Family Suites, or Disney's All-Star Music Resort Family Suite. When you price your vacation, price it with theme park tickets and a dining plan. Pricing the dining plan will give you an idea of how much you might spend on food.

Second, be aware that your vacation will be more expensive if your children are over 9-years old.

Third, decide your mode of transportation and estimate your expenses getting to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Fourth, bring Disney souvenirs with you. We always make a trip to a Disney Outlet store prior to our vacation to purchase a few special items including princess dresses.

Finally, have your children decorate a jug. Then use that jug to save change over the next year.

    Happy Planning!
